To succeed and go forward the CS Principles course must be endorsed by departments and department chairs. As ACM Fellow, CS Principles advisory board member and piloting faculty Larry Snyder writes in his call for endorsement and attestation:It is critical that all CS Departments that generally endorse the new AP CS Principles course make their support known explicitly. If individual departments speak as one, we will have a community response that will keep the effort on track. As explained below, the process involves sending an electronic "attestation letter" to the College Board, initialed by the chair. The schools listed below have attested and agreed to have their attestation made public. Please join this list by having your chair attest as well --- please visit the College Board attestation page to endorse the CS Principles project. You'll need to scroll in the page to find the form you'll fill out to attest. Alternatively, you can go directly to the attestation section of the page via this link .
We more than met the goal that the College Board and NSF had agreed to in the number and type of schools attesting to the CS Principles course. Our community came together to support this in what is an unprecedented show of support. Thanks to everyone who took the time to look into the course and attest, the future you've made possible looks very promising!
